Cut & Colour
Danielle Krysa & Sarah Gee Miller
November 15, 2018 - January 11, 2019
Fine Art Framing & Services and Patron Art House are pleased to present an exhibition of collaged works by Danielle Krysa and Sarah Gee Miller, curated by Pennylane Shen
This exhibition examines the practice of layering narrative, a dialogue shared between both artists through the navigation of colour, space and cultural context.
Krysa reworks clippings from photographs and magazines using paint and text to position subjects within the realm of the surreal, often with humour and a twist of the unexpected. Miller’s mathematically symmetric abstractions run vertically, along layers of curving and overlapping circuits, each pulsating with vibrant hues.
This exhibition coincides with the launch of Danielle Krysa’s new book A Big Important Art Book (Now With Women). Books will be available for purchase at Fine Art Framing & Services on November 15 through the duration of the exhibition while quantities last.
